Great staff, easy check in, dog friendly, clean/new sheets/towels. No deadbolt and the door was a little small for the jamb, but a chair can be used to secure the door overnight. Outside looks rough, but surprised by how nice the rooms were. Overall, good experience.
It was perfect for our stop in East Glacier! While older, the room was very well maintained. Quaint. Loved the pine paneling. Bed was very comfortable. TV and WiFi worked well. Room heated up just fine. We were in room 8. Mark, the owner, was outside working when we arrived. He was very helpful getting our car parked.
The room amenities were very good, with large, spacious, and clean rooms. The check in and out process was seamless, overall a great find and great place to stay, especially for the price. Great place to stay, about a 2 minute walk from the amtrak station right in the center of east glacier. The shuttle service from the nearby east glacier lodge made travel to the entire east side of the park possible without a car, and this convenient location was essential in making this possible. I took the amtrak to east glacier, without a car, and its definitely possible, even on a tight budget.
We love quaint little motels, and this one did not disappoint. Our room had a kitchenette where we made sandwiches then pulled our chairs around the open front door and enjoyed the sound and feel of a wonderful Montana evening. The beds were comfy and the rooms were very welcoming. I wish we could’ve spent more time there! You should consider a stay here!
I got into a tight spot when I was turned around at the Canadian border and the owner really came through for me! Helped me find a box and stuffing to ship my guns back home! The motel was fantastic for the price. Everything in the room was in good working order and was clean. The bed was clean. Thanks guys!
This is the perfect place to stay in East Glacier Park. This is not a modern lodge with all the amenities but it is perfect. We went to East Glacier to hike the Two Medicine area and found this quaint motel. We got the 2 bedroom with kitchenette for a great price. This was more like an air bnb to me than a motel. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, the kitchenette was perfect and the owner, Mark, could not have been a better host. Mark also owns the store down the road and stayed open for us as the Amtrak was running late. He provided some information on hiking , let us to get supplies for cooking and sold us the highly suggested bear spray so we could head out early the next day. The motel is a motel, not a resort. It met our needs perfectly and we would suggest to anyone visiting the area to support the Whistling Swan and the local businesses in town.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly, I really enjoyed my stay and I look forward to visiting again.
My son and I were taking the Amtrak from St. Louis to Seattle ( the Empire Builder route) and we always wanted to stop in Glacier National Park and take a day to explore. So we did just that stopping at the East Glacier station. The hotel is literally right around the corner. We walked with our luggage on over and checked in at the grocery store that the owner owns. He was so nice to help us actually helped take our luggage down the street to the hotel. Then the next day upon checking out they stored our luggage all day for us and we took an awesome e-bike ride up to the Glacier National Park & around the mountain. Absolutely breathtaking scenery. We had a fantastic time. My son and I stayed in the double room with the queen bed. We couldn't have been more pleased. It was very clean. Updated. Had a great night's sleep, good hot shower and the service was fantastic. Really appreciate everything they did for us. Thank you so much!!!!
